General terms and conditions of AdventureRooms Baden, operated by DarkHouse Entertainment GmbH
1. Conclusion of contract
Reservations can be made through the reservation form on the AdventureRooms Baden website or by email to baden@adventurerooms.ch. A reservation is only valid once AdventureRooms Baden has confirmed it by email. By making a reservation, the participant accepts the general terms and conditions of AdventureRooms Baden.
2. Services
Our services are as described on the website. Special requests by participants and side agreements only form part of the contract if the booking office has confirmed them in writing and without reservation. The services of DarkHouse Entertainment GmbH begin when the participants arrive at the AdventureRooms location. Each participant is responsible for their own journey and for arriving on time. Please note that the time slots are reserved separately for each group and the room is prepared accordingly. In the event of late arrival, the claim to the paid service lapses. There is no claim to a replacement service.
3. Prices and payment terms
The prices for the events are listed online under “Book”, or are agreed directly with the participants for larger groups. Unless agreed otherwise, prices are per person in Swiss francs. The prices valid on the day of the event apply. If you do not turn up without cancelling at least 48 hours before the slot, a fee may be charged afterwards. Changes to the group size must be notified at least 24 hours before the slot. In the event of cancellation or a reduction in the number of participants less than 24 hours before the event, no refund of payments already made will be given.
4. Number of participants and minimum age
The maximum number of participants per game is 12. Larger groups are only possible by arrangement. The minimum age for taking part at AdventureRooms Baden is 9. People under 16 may only take part accompanied by an adult. AdventureRooms is not suitable for people with claustrophobia, panic attacks, discomfort in narrow or dark rooms, or similar conditions.
5. Conditions of use
Participation is at your own risk. Insurance is the responsibility of the participants or, where they are minors, of their legal guardians. Participants are fully liable for any damage they cause to fittings and objects.
Photography and filming of any kind inside the AdventureRooms course is forbidden. The instructions of the game master must be followed at all times. It is not permitted to copy puzzle ideas or to rebuild puzzles in whole or in part at another location without the approval of DarkHouse Entertainment GmbH. Mobile phones and tablets are not allowed in the rooms and are left in the lounge at the start of the game.
6. Changes to a booking or cancellation of participation
Once a legally valid contract has been concluded under clause 1, a booking can only be changed or transferred if this is done at least 24 hours before the booked slot and if availability allows. A refund is only possible up to 48 hours before the start of the game.
7. Programme changes by AdventureRooms Baden, cancellation of the event
DarkHouse Entertainment GmbH reserves the right to make minor changes to its services. This does not affect the validity or the content of this contract. It may happen that AdventureRooms Baden has to cancel an event or a booking. In that case the participant will be informed immediately and offered an equivalent alternative. If the participant cannot accept it, they are entitled to a refund of the price paid. Any further compensation for expenses or losses is excluded.
Participants (a group or individual members of a group) may be refused entry to the AdventureRooms event without further reasons being given if they are under the influence of alcohol or drugs or behave unreasonably in some other way, in particular if they do not pay attention while the rules are explained at the start. There is no claim to a refund in such a case. If AdventureRooms Baden has the impression that participants are using force and wilfully destroying the fittings, or are not following the rules stated at the start, the game can be stopped. There is no claim to a refund in such a case.
8. Force majeure
If the event has to be cancelled because of force majeure, there is no claim to compensation. Force majeure means events that DarkHouse Entertainment GmbH could neither foresee nor avert, in particular war, terrorism, political unrest, natural disasters, nuclear incidents, fire or water damage, and similar events.
9. Liability
Insurance is the responsibility of the participants. AdventureRooms Baden ensures that the agreed services are provided with reasonable care and appropriate knowledge.
AdventureRooms Baden accepts no liability for direct or indirect damage such as injuries of any kind, deaths, losses (for example enjoyment not experienced) or similar. Nor does AdventureRooms Baden accept liability for services provided to third parties.
10. Data protection
During the game the group is accompanied in real time by a game master using video cameras installed in the rooms. These serve only to keep the game master informed of the group’s current progress so that hints can be given if needed. The images are neither stored nor transmitted to other screens, nor used for any other purpose. After the game, the game masters photograph the groups on a voluntary basis. With the group’s agreement, these photos may be published on the company website and on social media channels.
11. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
The exclusive place of jurisdiction for any disputes is the registered office of DarkHouse Entertainment GmbH. Swiss law applies exclusively.
